Anti-money-laundering policy
Precious metals can be misused to move illicit money. This policy explains the steps we take to prevent that, and what it means for you as a customer. Last updated: 19 October 2026.
Our commitment
CC TRADING (LONDON) LIMITED complies with the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing laws that apply to dealers in precious metals in the United Kingdom, including the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017, the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and the Terrorism Act 2000. Compliance questions can be sent to compliance@ccholdings.eu.
Knowing our customers
We verify the identity of customers whose purchases reach €5,000 within 12 months, whether in one order or several, and whenever something about an order gives us reason to. Verification includes a government-issued photo ID, proof of address, information about the source of funds and a signed declaration. For high-value or higher-risk transactions, we may also ask for proof of the source of funds, at our discretion.
Checking payments
We accept payment only by bank transfer from an account in the customer's own name (or, for a business, the business's name). We check that the name on each payment matches the customer, and we return payments from third parties. We do not accept cash.
When you sell to us
We verify the identity of every person who sells metal to us before we pay, whatever the amount. We pay only by bank transfer to an account in the seller's own name, never to a third party and never in cash. We may ask about the source of the items, for example how and when they were acquired, and we may decline a purchase where the answers are not satisfactory.
Sanctions
We do not deal with people, companies or other organisations that are sanctioned or designated by the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom or the United Nations. Customers are screened against these lists.
Reporting and records
Where the law requires it, we report suspicious transactions to the UK Financial Intelligence Unit at the National Crime Agency, and we may be prohibited from telling the customer that we have done so. We keep identity and transaction records for at least five years.
What this means for you
Most orders go through without delay. If we need more information, we will ask for it by email and hold your order until we receive it. Providing false information is a criminal offence, and we will cancel any order where we suspect it.
